Welcome to the Maison Vintique Inner Circle. To ensure a transparent and high-end experience for all our collectors, we have outlined our terms and procedures below.
1. The Bidding Process (The Auction)
Binding Offers: By placing a bid, you enter a legally binding contract. If you are the highest bidder when the timer ends, you are committed to purchasing the item.
Starting Bids: Each item has a minimum reserve price. Bids below this amount will not be registered.
Winning a Bid: If you win, you will receive an order confirmation and invoice within 24 hours.
2. How to Order & Payment
Shipping Quotes: We kindly ask you to contact us for a shipping quote via mail to info@maisonvintique.be. We aim to reply within 12 hours.
Confirmation: Once you confirm the total amount (item + shipping), we will send an official invoice.
Payment Methods: We accept secure payments via Bank Wire or PayPal, depending on your preference. Invoices must be settled within 48 hours for auction wins.
3. Shipping, Packing & Insurance
Global Shipping: We ship worldwide with trusted partners like FedEx and DHL. All shipments are fully insured.
Professional Packing: We take immense pride in our craftsmanship, which extends to our packing. We use high-quality bubble wrap, air cushions, and custom-made wooden crates for larger or fragile "Statement Pieces."
Delivery Time: Delivery times vary by location. Express service is available upon request. We always provide tracking information.
Import Duties: Items ship from Belgium (EU). EU-based customers are exempt from customs duties. For intercontinental orders, the buyer is responsible for any local import taxes or duties.
4. Returns & Refunds
14-Day Return Policy: If an item does not meet your expectations, you have the right to return it within 14 days of reception.
Costs: Shipping costs (both inbound and return) are the responsibility of the buyer. This includes any customs duties or taxes.
Restocking Fee: For cross-continental purchases (outside the EU), a 15% restocking fee applies due to the extensive administrative work and customs paperwork involved.
Condition: Items must be returned in their original condition. Any damage during return transit is the responsibility of the buyer.
5. Damage or Loss
In the rare event of damage during transit:
Notification: Contact us immediately and provide photos of the damaged item AND the inside/outside of the packaging.
Process: Claims must be filed within 10 days of receipt. Please allow us time to coordinate with the shipping company. Failure to provide photographic evidence may result in a declined claim.
6. Electricity & Safety Standards
Our lamps are tested according to EU safety standards. They are usually delivered with plugs & wires comform European Standards and work with different voltages provided you use the correct light bulbs for your region. We are happy to adjust wire lengths or specific technical requests upon consultation.
7. Trade & Interior Design
We love collaborating on professional projects. We offer specialized trade pricing and can arrange bulk shipments for interior designers and dealers, especially in the USA. If you are looking for a specific "treasure," let us know—we hunt daily.
Privacy Policy Summary
We value your privacy. We only collect the information necessary to fulfill your order (name, address, payment details). We retain this data for 5 years to comply with legal and tax obligations. You have the right to access, change, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us.
